Create Self-select Zoom breakout rooms

Creating breakout rooms is available to hosts and alternate meeting hosts.

Self-select breakout rooms are available in-meeting and only takes a few minutes to setup.



Click Breakout Rooms from the bottom of your Zoom screen



  • Create the number of breakout rooms you would like
  • Select "Let participants choose room"
  • Click Create




  • Hover over the room numbers to rename them
  • Click Open All Rooms




  1. Participants will be able to select which room they want to join from breakout rooms in their toolbar.
